We received a desperate call from Lynsay at Morning Star who explained that baby Hope needed urgent heart surgery and asked if there was any way
that we could help pay the 60,000rmb bill. Without this money in her hospital account surgery could not take place.

A few days before that the lovely ladies from ANZA ( The Australia and New Zealand Association ) had presented us with 50,000rmb to use for a cause of our choice. We were so grateful to have these funds available as we could immediately tell Lynsay to go ahead and admit Hope. ( The other 10,000 rmb came from our store sales ). The surgery went well and when Hope was better we arranged for Hope to visit the ANZA coffee morning to meet some of the ladies who had saved her life. Lots of extra special huge cuddles were given that day !

Hope is now fully recovered and went on to be adopted by a lovely family in the U.S.A.
