BRAIN TUMOUR SURGERY FUNDED BY FURNITURE DONATIONS FROM THE AMBASSADOR OF IRELAND’S RESIDENCE.
Published on:2013-10-13

Little Tian Tian has a brain tumor and although the risks are high she will not make it without surgery

Tian Tian arrived at her orphanage when she was 4 months old. This fact alone probably means that her family really wanted to keep their precious daughter but were too poor to pay for her healthcare. What a choice to make, keep your daughter and watch her die or pass her to an orphanage in the hope that someone will help her. Her birth mother showed such selfishness and I guess she cries every day over the loss of her daughter.

Tian Tian is now 7 months old. The tumor has already caused damage to her eye. The surgery is very risky and she may not make it through, but we feel that while there is a chance she should be given it.

A week ago we received 5 truck loads of furniture from the residence of the Ambassador of Ireland and the gorgeous items we received are directly helping Tian Tian. Our store sales on Saturday topped 33,000rmb thanks to a wonderful supporter who is choosing to furnish her new home with items purchased from Roundabout, items mostly from the ambassador’s residence.

This money will be passed to Tian Tian’s carers tomorrow along with store sales money from last week.

Now we have until Tuesday to find money to pay our rent!!
